Scenic Photos from our beautiful countryside
Many of our friends have asked for me to share some of the photos I have taken of the beautiful scenery, flowers and wildlife from the area surounding our home. I found this to be the easiest way to do so. Following the seasons, I will post here the new photos I take starting with September of this year. I hope you all enjoy them.

These Geese are coming in for a landing to rest in our harvested corn field before

continuing on their migration south.

Here are Hanna and Angel watching  Phil raking fallen leaves.

The Princess and Qupie Doll are also watching.
Signs of autumn, a fallen leaf among the salvias.

Salvias and marigolds will soon be just a memory as will all the other flower beds.

Flower pots sit in waiting for some flowers to be taken in for the winter. On the right
and below left Bright tangy nasturtiums will be missed in our salads. Their leaves and flowers edible tasting much like watercress and full of vitamin C.

The bees are busy collecting pollen for storage before winter

Lone crow on lookout

The leaves are not quite at peak color. With all the rain due over the next 10 days, we may lose them before they attain their full vibrancy so I am getting what color I can

through the drizzly October mist

Our neighbor has harvested most of the pumpkins and squash from his fields.
Hidden behind the trees are the few still waiting to be taken away.

Once the bitter cold winds blow
and all is covered with winter snow
We can revisit the beauty of fall
by returning here.
Welcome, one and all.
