Joy,
I haven't talked to you in so long that its not funny.  Just wanted to give you an update on chevy.  He is doing GREAT.  He is over 100 pounds already.  He is so protective of Lee and Leeann.  Even if you play around with them, he comes charging at you to let you know he will protect them.  He is so LOYAL to Lee that its not funny.
 take care and thanks
Luva

This recently received from the new owners of Maximus- Fritz

If you've seen the photo already Noah is looking up to try and dodge the slobber. I'm taking Max on short rides but he still drools a little, but I believe he is getting better because if he didn't like it he wouldn't voluntarily jump into the back of the truck. We were coming back from letting Max run around in an open field and chase a tennis ball, he actually learned really quick when I said "pick up the ball" he would. Now that doesn't mean he dropped it by me, he dropped it whenever and wherever he wanted :-)
I'm not sure what happened those couple of days, but I've never seen so much hair. I actually removed about 15 full brushes of hair by a dog brush and it was still coming out. That lasted two days and now we are back to normal, one to two daily brushes and under control. He is great and truly loved by all of us. You wouldn't happen to have the contact information of that lady that has his brother handy would you? I believe now he is ready to learn, he was a little skiddish the first time I put the choke collar on him and gave the correction (quick, small jerk with a firm no then release).
I'm going to start with about twenty minutes a day and then try to work up to as much time as he'll allow. He does now sit on command, and at the door when he wants to go out, uses the restroom on command (which is really nice), jumps in the truck, knows "get off" means to get down off the furniture, oh and I almost forgot, goes into his kennel on command. He will even go in there when there is too much going on in the house or if he is tired he'll go in there sometimes to sleep.
Well I have to run
Thank you for Max, he was definitely worth the trip and the fee.
