Hi Joy,
I hope you're enjoying your new chocolate puppy as much
as we're enjoying our new black one. Mia, or Bella Mia as she's
known, has proven to be as outstanding as our other two
Casa La Strega puppies. She's an absolute doll!
I understand Royce weighs around 5lbs? At the vet on Saturday
Mia weighed 7, so she's going to be larger than our Lolly but
smaller than Raven. We can't believe what a great dog she's been
so far... I didn't think we'd get lucky one more time, but we sure did!!!
I was out enjoying the pictures of the puppies on your web site.
I wanted to see what Royce looked like. He looks like he's quite
the devil. I think I ended up with the milder mannered dog,
but she can be a terror as well!
I've attached pictures, but you know how hard it is to take pictures
of black dogs.
I just wanted you to know how much your dogs have impacted my life.
They are my children and bring such joy to both my husband, Kenny and I.
I hope this finds you and your husband in good health.
Take care,
Joy Farwell

Hi Joy,
Mia is an absolute doll who luckily hasn't found her voice yet. She's
almost as tall as Raven, with very long legs. She's got a terrific,
terrific personality and we love her to death. The wonderful Strega line
lives on!
Here are some newer pictures. You can see how gray Raven is getting. She's
slowing down and is the lady of the three. Lolly and Mia are great friends
and wear each other out.
Thanks again, Take care,
Joy Farwell

Dear Joy,
It's been a little bit since I E'mailed you. Toby is doing just fine.
He's a real funny little guy! He's perked us up quite a bit here. He get's
along fine with Charlie and can get him up and moving for a game of chase me
around. Once in a while he can get me to play chase me around, I've got
something of yours! He's well behaved, has complete run of the house. He
definitely is our little love bug.
I do,however, need your help. Toby is also our little wooley bear! I
have never had to clip such thick fur on a poodle. Not only is it so thick,
it grows really fast. Do you have any tips for me? I have the usual comb
attachments and we try to brush him regularly, but he seems to have a thick,
heavy undercoat, unlike my other three poodles that I've groomed in my
lifetime. He's always seems to mat easily. I'd appreciate any suggestions.
Take care, and I hope all is well up at Casa Strega.
Susan
Dear Joy,
Here's a few pictures of the wooly bear (Toby). He's doing just fine.
Tommorrow he's going to the poodle parlour for a haircut. So I'm sure he'll
look like a different dog. Notice that his favorite toy is the squeak toy
that you gave him; he loves to squeak it, toss it and run around with it.
He really is a good boy, likes to ride in the car, and is a little love bug.
He's always snuggling in our laps or in bed with us. He gets along well with
Charlie.
Take care, Susan
